Day 1
Arrive in Tokyo, settle in, first evening in Shibuya or Ebisu.
Day 2
Tsukiji Outer Market breakfast, teamLab, and an early Ginza walk.
Day 3
Meiji Shrine, Harajuku, and a Shinjuku izakaya evening.
Day 4
East Tokyo: Senso-ji at dawn, the sumo district, or a museum day in Ueno.
Day 5
Daikanyama and Nakameguro for design, cafés and an evening walk along the river.
Day 6
A free Tokyo day — revisit a favourite, shop, or explore a neighbourhood you loved.
Day 7
Shinkansen to Kyoto, check in, then an evening stroll along the Kamo River.
Day 8
Fushimi Inari at dawn, Kiyomizu-dera, and an evening in Gion.
Day 9
Arashiyama bamboo, Kinkaku-ji, and a Fushimi sake tasting.
Day 10
Nara day trip: the deer park, Todai-ji and the walk most visitors skip.
Day 11
Shinkansen to Osaka, Dotonbori food tour after dark.
Day 12
Day trip to Himeji Castle, Kobe beef lunch, or Kurashiki.
Day 13
Shinkansen to Hiroshima, evening in the city or a first look at the Peace Park.
Day 14
Morning at Miyajima or the Peace Park, then Shinkansen back to Tokyo for departure.
